백신 주사 맞을 때 '따끔'했나요? 그럼 이제 도넛 먹고 '달콤'해지세요~

크리스피 크림 도넛이 이벤트를 시작했습니다.

코로나 백신 접종했다는 확인서를 보여주면 미국에선 어느 매장에서든

반질반질한 그 녀석 있잖아요.. (꿀꺽) 글레이즈드 오리지널을 무료로 준다고 합니다.

 

예전에 헌혈 하면 빵 줬었는데, 뭐 그런 건가 봐요.

미국서도 백신 부작용에 대한 우려, 종교적 거부감 등등 때문에

접종을 기피하는 분위기가 일부 있어서, 주사 맞으라는 유인책으로

기업들이 또 이렇게 나서는 것 같습니다. (우리나라에선 아직 소식 없네요;;)

Many Americans say they are still hesitant to get a covid vaccine, so Krispy Kreme donuts are enticing people to get a vaccine get down to vaccination center by promising them a free donut on the house every day for the rest of the year if they go and get the vaccination. Now I don't know. Sara, is this something you might do?

많은 미국인들이 아직도 코로나 백신 접종을 망설이고 있다는데요. 그래서 크리스피 크림 도넛이 유인책으로, 사람들 백신 맞으러 가라고, 백신 접종 센터 가라고 매일매일 무료로 도넛을 주겠다고 약속했어요. 글쎄 잘 모르겠습니다. 사라, 공짜로 도넛 준다면 백신 맞을래요?

If a donut is what gets you to go get the vaccine then I'm really curious what the push back was prior to this, but I do I'm all for corporate responsibility and companies doing what they can, so I think on the heels of such a dark time and this is going to get people excited all morning, this is you know I've been hearing people talk about I went and got my krispy kreme donut, I'm like, wow, this is a game changer so I can get I'm not a big donut girl, but I can get on board if it's making people take the plunge.

도넛 때문에 백신을 맞겠다면, 이전에 접종을 미루게 했던 이유는 뭐였을까요? 진심 궁금하네요. 하지만 저는 기업의 (사회적) 책임, 기업이 할 수 있는 역할에 대해서는 전적으로 지지합니다. 한참 어두웠던 시간의 절정이 지나가고 사람들도 곧 밝은 아침의 설렘을 느낄 거라 봅니다. 이건 다들 아시겠지만, 제가 크리스피 크림 도넛을 먹었다고 사람들이 얘기하는 걸 들었거든요. 와, 이건 뭐 '게임 체인저'예요. 저도 백신 맞을 수, 저는 그닥 도넛 안 좋아하거든요, 근데 사람들을 움직일 수 있다면 저도 동참할 수 있어요.

Whoopi, we are now officially a nation of golden retrievers, This is what I do with a dog, there’s a treat, sit, stay, roll over. I mean, come on people, why is this so hard to understand? Millions of people have taken the vaccine, millions of people are okay, people are not dying, you're dying because you didn't take the vaccine. I mean, also you know what would help if they would attach those stimulus checks to the vaccine, okay you're not going to get your check unless you get the vaccine, I bet you that would work.

우피, 우리나라는 공식적으로 골든 레트리버의 나라잖아요. 이건 내가 개를 데리고 하는 일이에요. 훈련시키는 거죠, 앉아, 기다려, 엎드려. 제 말은, 이봐요들, 뭐가 그렇게 어렵죠? 수백만 명 사람들이 백신을 맞았고, 다들 괜찮아요, 안 죽었어요. 당신은 죽어가고 있네요, 예방접종을 안 했으니까요. 제 말은요, 백신 맞으면 수표(?) 준다 하고백신에 착 붙여놓으면 도움될 걸 알잖아요. 백신을 맞기 전에는 수표를 못 받는 거죠. 틀림없이 효과 있을 걸요.

You know maybe I, I'm not a donut person y'all know I don't eat a lot of sweets but listen. If if you, if the donut will get you there, fine, because right now we only have about 24 percent of the population vaccinated, we need like 70 to 80 percent of the population for this herd immunity, we all want to get back to some sort of sense of normalcy here, if it's the krispy kreme donut that does it for you, great, I'm a little concerned because we know that being obese or overweight is one of the comorbidities that that that is you know..

전 도넛을 잘 안 먹지만, 다들 알다시피, 단 것도 많이 안 먹지만, 들어보세요. 만약 도넛이 여러분을 접종센터까지 데려다준다면야,, 좋아요, 왜냐면 지금까지 우리 미국 인구의 약 24%만 예방접종을 했는데 집단면역이 되려면 접종률이 70~80%는 돼야 해요. 우리 모두 정상적인 일상으로 돌아가길 원한다면, 크리스피 크림 도넛이 그걸 도와주는 거라면, 좋습니다, 약간 걱정은 되는데요. 비만이나 과체중을 다 갖고 있으니까..

Yeah, I mean, I think that like the olive garden should give me unlimited bread sticks if I get the vaccine, like, I agree with Sara that corporate culture is like fantastic with this. I will say like to enjoy saying we're golden retrievers like I love a t-shirt cannon at a sports game like I love like silly cheesy like, sometimes it's just like the excitement of it. I don't think it's because we're like you know dumb dogs in the country, I think it's just fine and I think there's so much dark, yeah, we like free stuff and there's been so much darkness, in the country that if like having a krispy kreme are absolutely delicious even though I'm more of a dunkin donuts girl so they should get on it too, but like I, I really like I do eat sweets, I eat at fast food restaurants and chain restaurants and that's why I'm not skinny, so like the end, so I'm like a lot of America, give me free food, I'll get a vaccine.

네, 근데 올리브 가든처럼 브래드 스틱을 무제한으로 줘야죠, 백신을 맞으면요. 전 사라가 한 말에 동의해요. 기업 문화가 이 정도면 환상적이죠. 우리가 골든 레트리버라고 하는 걸 즐길래요. 스포츠 경기에서 대포로 쏘아주는 티셔츠를 좋아하는 것처럼, 바보 같고 유치한 걸 좋아하는 것처럼, 때때로 그런 게 즐거움이죠. 우리가 시골의 멍청한 개라서 그런 게 아니라, 그냥 괜찮지 않아요? 우울한 일들이 너무 많은데.. 공짜 좋잖아요. 그동안 슬픈 일들 너무 많았어요. 크리스피 도넛 먹으면 완전 달고 맛있잖아요, 물론 저는 던킨을 더 좋아하지만, 다들 동참해야 합니다. 저 달달한 거 진짜 좋아하는데 패스트푸드 가게나 체인점에서 먹거든요. 그래서 날씬하지 못해요. 저도 일반 사람들이랑 똑같아요, 공짜 먹을 거 주세요, 백신 맞을게요.

Yeah, well, I will say this, as I said it yesterday, I am hoping they open this up, this vaccine up to everyone because kids coming home from uh their break spring break are coming home to 30, 40 and 50-year-olds who have not been vaccinated. We need to get folks vaccinated, and if you open it up to people who want to get vaccinated, I believe more people would do it a lot faster, that's just my opinion, and I'll take a donut.

그래요, 알겠어요. 어제도 말했지만, 제가 바라는 건 국민 모두가 백신 접종 대상이 되는 거예요. 아이들이 봄방학이라 집으로 돌아오고 있는데, 아직 백신을 맞지 않은 30, 40, 50대가 있잖아요. 사람들이 백신을 꼭 맞도록 해야 합니다. 접종을 원하는 사람들한테 모두 백신을 줄 수 있다면, 더 많은 사람들이 더 빠르게 접종을 할 거예요. 이건 그냥 제 생각입니다. 저도 도넛 먹을 겁니다.
