Which one would you choose? To predict the next 60 seconds or time travel to the past 60 seconds? And tell me why you chose it over the other one?

 

Sixty seconds is a pretty short time in life. How dramatically will life change even if you can go freely back and forth within a 60-sec range? Nevertheless, I’m profoundly deliberating this 60-sec thing.

 

In conclusion, the superpower I want is time travel to the past 60 seconds. I don’t think the future is already set as one single option. I believe the end can be made concretely only after the past and the present are accumulated.

 

I guess the future is where there’s no sound, moving, and feeling, so-called a vacuumed four-dimensional world. Stepping in there earlier is just fruitless and disappointing.

 

On the other hand, I could get back to the past 60 seconds means that I would get two presents, ‘Inner Growth’ and ‘Small Happiness.’ I can make up for my minor mistakes in words and actions just a minute ago.

 

Quickly moving backward to 60 seconds ago, I’d like to say that again very nicely and sophisticatedly. I want to handle my favorite mug carefully this time to keep it longer.

인생에서 60초는 정말 짧은 시간입니다. 60초 후 미래를 미리 알거나, 60초 전 과거로 돌아갈 수 있다고 해서 삶이 얼마나 드라마틱하게 바뀔까요? 하지만, 지금 이 순간 저는 ‘60초’ 때문에 엄청나게 고민하고 있습니다.

 

결론적으로, 제가 갖고 싶은 초능력은 ‘60초 전으로 돌아가기’입니다.

 

저는 미래가 단 한 가지 옵션으로 정해져 있다고 생각하지 않습니다. 과거와 현재의 시간을 쌓아 올려야 미래가 구체적으로 생겨난다고 믿거든요. 미리 가 본 60초 후 미래의 시공간은 소리도 움직임도 없고, 감정도 느낄 수 없는 진공의 4차원일 것 같습니다. 미리 가 본들 소득 없이 허탈할 것 같습니다.

 

반면에, 아주 찰나이긴 하겠지만, 60초 전으로 돌아갈 수 있다면 2가지 선물을 받을 수 있습니다. 바로 ‘내면의 성장’과 ‘소소한 행복’입니다. 소소한 말실수, 행동 실수를 바로 잡을 수 있으니까요.

 

이를테면, 생각 없이 거친 말을 내뱉었을 때 재빨리 시간을 60초 전으로 돌려 다시 친절하게, 세련되게 말하고 싶습니다. 덤벙대다가 아끼던 컵을 깨버렸다면, 시간을 되돌려 이번엔 더 조심스럽게 다룰 겁니다. 최애 머그를 오랫동안 간직할 수 있도록요.
